Project Engineer

Our team is looking to fill the role of Project Engineer who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment and with a solid understanding in one of the base disciplines. The company culture revolves around working as a team and picking up tasks wherever it is needed.

Responsibilities:

Natural aptitude in problem solving using appropriate theoretical and practical engineering principals

Understanding of engineering principals and industry codes
-
Good time management skills
-
Plans and organizes activities, ability to lead a small team when needed

Effectively communicates information verbally, graphically and in writing
-
Practices engineering to achieve organizational and project goals in a collaborative environment

Practice engineering while safeguarding life, health, property, economic interests and the environment, with an awareness of the risks and impacts of engineering work

Reports to the Project Manager on deliverables and schedule of a given project

Helps to foster good practice in the team by following company policies and procedures

Looks for opportunities to further streamline processes.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
-
Registered with APEGA or APEGS as a P.Eng. is preferable
-
3-5 Years working as a project engineer
-
Some discipline experience is an asset (process/mechanical/electrical/civil/structural)
-
Construction Management experience is an asset
-
Time spent in the field is an asset
-
Working towards/obtaining PMP is an asset
-
Good knowledge of Office based products
-
Good interpersonal skills (office is very team based, so collaboration is key)
-
Account for some field work when needed (possible 15-25%)

Available immediately preferred.
