Intermediate Civil Engineer

Our team is looking for an experienced Civil Engineer who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment and is looking to further their career. The company culture revolves around working as a team to provide quality work for all clients.

You will work alongside a talented team of experienced professionals in the Engineering field. The projects that you will be working on will vary from site grading, containment, access roads, rail lines, storage facilities, culverts, buried pipe and utilities.


  • Effectively communicates information verbally, graphically and in writing

  • Provide a solid understanding of the CSA design codes as well as other pertinent codes, standards, guidelines and best practices

  • Ability to provide consultation for rail and civil earthworks projects

  • Assist with rail design and civil earth works projects as needed, with a focus on self-development to become a key asset for Tri Innovations rail projects

  • Assist in the preparation and review of civil drawings and calculations

  • Review vendor and subcontractor quotes and drawings for accuracy

  • Collaborative team approach and ability to build long-term, successful relationships with clients and project teams

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills and proven ability to complete project deliverables (engineering reports, drawings, specifications) on time and budget


  • Registered with APEGA as a P.Eng.

  • 4-10 Years working as an engineer specifically experience with civil earthworks projects

  • Experience with rail design is an asset

  • Some project management experience is an asset

  • Time spent in the field is an asset

  • Good knowledge of Office and Mac based products

  • Good interpersonal skills (office is very team based, so collaboration is key)

  • Account for some field work when needed (possible 5%)

  • Availability to start work within a couple of weeks is preferable
