Job Description - Intermediate Process Engineer

We are a growing company with a dedicated, agile and efficient team that has been offering a full spectrum of engineering, procurement and construction management solutions since 2004. The team is a Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, and they have provided exceptional engineering services to companies located worldwide.

Our team is looking for a full-time Intermediate Process Engineer who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment and is looking to further their career. The company culture revolves around working as a team and helping one-an-other to grow.

You will work alongside a talented team of experienced professionals in the engineering and design fields. The projects that you will be working on will vary and may include but are not be confined to sulphur and other light industrial facility design. We work in numerous different jurisdictions within Canada, North America and Internationally.


  • Natural aptitude in problem solving using appropriate theoretical and practical engineering principals

  • Create material balances for a variety of processes

  • Design and review piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) as well as process flow diagrams (PFDs)

  • Review vendor and subcontractor quotes and drawings for accuracy

  • Exceptional attention to detail

  • Possess the ability to design specialty components without supervision

  • Effectively communicate information verbally, graphically and in writing

  • Proficiency and a solid understanding of the all pertinent codes, standards, guidelines and best practices

  • Collaborative team approach and ability to build long-term, successful relationships with clients and project teams

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills and proven ability to complete project deliverables (engineering reports, drawings, specifications) on time and budget

  • Ability to take responsibility for a variety of tasks and follow through from initialization to completion independently

  • Provided assistance with commissioning of projects as needed


  • Registered with APEGA as a P.Eng.

  • 6 or more years of experience in process and/or project engineering

  • Some discipline experience is an asset (process/mechanical)

  • Time spent in the field is an asset

  • Good knowledge of Office and Mac based products

  • Good interpersonal skills (office is very team based, so collaboration is key)

  • Account for some field work when needed (possible 5-10%)

  • Available to start work within a couple of weeks is preferable
